200 Days of Abdulrahman Yusuf’s Enforced Disappearance: Reveal His Whereabouts. Ensure His Safety. Release Him Now.

In a joint statement, the Access Center for Human Rights (ACHR) and 27 other organizations urgently call for the immediate disclosure of the fate of Turkish-Egyptian poet and dissident Abdulrahman Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, and demand his prompt release and protection.

📍Abdulrahman Yusuf was arrested in Lebanon on December 28, 2024, and forcibly extradited to the UAE on January 8, 2025، in blatant violation of the principle of non-refoulement. Since then, Emirati authorities have refused to disclose his whereabouts or legal status of the proceeding he is facing and his detention.

⚠️ His fate and whereabouts remain unknown. This alarming silence raises serious concerns that he may be subjected to torture or other forms of ill-treatment.
