The Anti-Racism Movement, endorsed by a number of civil society organizations including Access\u00a0Center\u00a0for Human Rights, submitted a report\u00a0on the situation of migrants and refugees in Lebanon,\u00a0to the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on 14 July 2021, in response to Lebanon\u2019s reports\u00a0dated\u00a014 December 2018,\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The report provides an overview of the situation of migrant domestic workers in Lebanon, specifically with regards to violations of their rights to just and favourable remuneration, to freedom of peaceful assembly and association and to equal treatment before the courts. The report also responds\u00a0to the Lebanese government\u2019s claims of \u201cpositive reforms\u201d in their submission.\u00a0It\u00a0then presents the situation of Syrian refugees, focusing on\u00a0deportations and returns, freedom of movement and right to housing.
