ACHR is specialized in observing the human rights refugee situation and publishes periodic publications on mass violations with the aim of raising awareness and international advocacy to ensure the right to human dignity in the countries of asylum until their voluntary, dignified, and safe return to their country of origin.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Researcher will be responsible to carry out comprehensive research and the written content using ACHR research methodologies and its database analysis.\u00a0The Researcher must be able to work at the upmost level with minimal supervision. He\/She will work under the direct supervision of the Project\u00a0Coordinator\u00a0of M&amp;D\u00a0unit and the overall supervision of the Program Manager\u00a0and\u00a0will be carrying out her\/his duties in accordance with ACHR mandate and technically coordinating with the field team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contract Period<\/strong>:\u00a0six months with the possibility of extension.<br \/>\n<strong>Contract\u00a0Type:<\/strong>\u00a0full time contract, with\u00a01-month\u00a0probation review period.<br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Remote work with possibility of travel.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>SCOPE OF WORK\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Undertake desk review and\/or interview with various stakeholders to get first-hand practical experiences.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct desk research on the relevant matters of the studies, academic research, historical research, and other relevant materials.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in executing planned conferences, meetings, and symposiums.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare, draft, and edit data, papers, and reports on violations cases.<\/li>\n<li>Develop methodologies and research work policies and develop an accurate action plan.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain contact with victims, their families, lawyers, or other relevant sources to inform them of the developments of the cases, the confidentiality, privacy, and safety of the victims.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the project officer to follow up on the implementation of the workflow, according to the tasks assigned; and<\/li>\n<li>Perform other relevant project related tasks according to the request of ACHR.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><strong>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree, law,\u00a0or related fields;\u00a0the degree may not be required if applicant has demonstrated that he\/she has extensive experience in research and documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated depth of experience and effectiveness preferably in a\u00a0research context in working with community\/grassroots people and organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and in Arabic is essential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Soft Skills:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent research writing and editing\u00a0skills;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent legal analytical\u00a0skills;<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational and programmatic skills<\/li>\n<li>Able to take initiative and work well independently and as part of a team<\/li>\n<li>Remote management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Coordination skills, problem solving, and flexibility in dealing with the team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comfort with using email\/Zoom\/ MS Teams and instant messaging as a primary means of communication is a must.<\/li>\n<li>Good computer skills, including knowledge of Word and Excel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Working conditions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The possibility of working outside office hours.\u00a0\u201cimportant\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The possibility of frequent travel outside Lebanon.<\/li>\n<li>The possibility of working under pressure. \u201cimportant\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EVALUATION CRITERIA:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accuracy of research content<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in drafting content in both Arabic and English<\/li>\n<li>The ability to develop and adhere to an action plan.<\/li>\n<li>Periodic reports that are submitted to the supervising manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>APPLICATION SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINE: \u2013 Please submit your application through the following link:\u00a0https:\/\/bit.ly\/3NY0Zgh \u2013 Only applications submitted through this link will be considered. \u2013 Application deadline: 31 July 2022.
